We have developed a project for a private residence within the jurisdiction of San Diego County, California, USA, and successfully obtained a construction permit. Construction will commence shortly. The site features a challenging terrain with steep slopes and rocky soil, and American building codes impose significant restrictions on construction placement.
We designed two buildings: the main house with a garage (SFD + JADU) and an additional dwelling unit (ADU).
The main house (SFD) consists of three floors: two above ground and one basement level. The lower floor includes a garage and a storage area. The upper floor features individual apartments (JADU) and the main house sleeping area with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, walk-in closets in each bedroom, and a laundry room. The middle floor contains the living room, kitchen, and a bathroom.
The additional building (ADU) has two floors. The first floor comprises a living room, kitchen, guest bedroom, and guest bathroom. The upper floor includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a laundry room.
Both buildings are designed in a modern style with flat roofs, plastered in white with accent black windows and decorative elements.
